Frequently asked questions

For casino owners, card room managers and tournament organisers considering running their live tournaments in Pokerverket.

Getting started

What is Pokerverket, in short?

Pokerverket is an operations system for live poker. You run the tournament clock, blind structure, player registry, table balancing, prize pool and payouts in one place, and display everything on a TV or projector for your guests.

Around the floor operations you get scheduling, player sign-ups and occupancy analytics, so the week can be planned on data instead of gut feeling.

Who is it built for?

Casinos, card rooms, poker clubs and tournament organisers running recurring live tournaments and cash games. It works just as well for a single weekly tournament as for a nightly multi-table schedule.

How fast can we go live?

A first tournament takes a few minutes: format, player and table count, blind structure and a final review. We suggest safe defaults you can refine afterwards.

There is nothing to install. It runs in the browser on the floor computer or tablet, and the display view opens in its own window on the screen in the room.

What does it cost?

The core – clock, display, structure and player handling – is available right away. For casino accounts with scheduling, membership and analytics we agree terms based on your table count and tournament volume. Get in touch and we will talk it through.

Floor operations

How do the clock and display work?

The clock is driven from the admin view: start, pause, reset the level, skip forward or back, add minutes and schedule breaks. The display view shows the countdown, current and next blinds, ante, players remaining, average stack and break info in large type.

All windows stay in sync in real time, so the operator at the desk and the screen in the room always show the same truth. Time is computed against absolute timestamps, so it never drifts even if a tab was backgrounded.

Does it handle table balancing and seating?

Yes. Random draw at the start, automatic move suggestions so tables never differ by more than one player, and table merges prioritised over unnecessary moves. You can also lock fixed seats when someone must sit at a specific table.

Suggestions are only suggestions – the floor approves before anything changes, so you keep control at the table.

Does it handle late registration, rebuys and add-ons?

Yes. Late registration can close automatically at a chosen level, and rebuys and add-ons are tracked per player. The prize pool updates instantly and the payout structure recalculates, including rounding and bubble marking.

What if the internet or the computer fails mid-tournament?

Tournament state is stored locally in the browser, so a reload or a short outage does not lose the clock, the players or the structure. Reopen the page and you continue where you were.

Switching machines mid-evening is fine too – the display can be reopened without affecting the tournament.

Can we run cash games as well?

Yes. A separate cash game tool covers session setup, buy-ins and cash-outs per player, and end-of-night reconciliation so the till balances before staff leave.

Players, scheduling and analytics

How do casino and player accounts relate?

A casino account is created with email, password and the casino name. Players create their own accounts and apply to join your casino – you approve or reject each application.

Approved players see your tournament schedule and can register for individual dates, giving you a sign-up list before the night instead of a guess.

Can we publish a recurring tournament schedule?

Yes. Create tournaments with time, buy-in and recurrence – every Thursday, for example – and they appear in a calendar for your members. Sign-up counts per date are visible directly in the calendar.

What does the analytics side give a floor manager?

It answers the planning questions: which slots actually fill your tables, where capacity sits idle, which tournaments carry their own staffing, and which schedule changes are most likely to lift occupancy.

Forecast, capacity and opportunity suggestions are built from your own numbers, so the recommendations are about your room and not an industry average.

Where is data stored and who owns it?

Tournament operations can run entirely in the browser. Accounts, memberships, scheduling and results live in our cloud, protected by access rules so only you and your approved members see your data.

Your content is yours. Player statistics require the player's own approval before it is written to their profile.

Is this real-money gambling?

No. Pokerverket handles no wagers, no payments and no withdrawals. It is an administration and display tool for games you physically host, and you remain responsible for complying with local law and any licensing requirements.

Does it support Swedish and English?

Yes, the whole interface switches between Swedish and English in real time, and currency is selected separately – useful when you have international guests at the table.

Ready to try it with a real tournament?

Set up one night in the system and run it for real. There is no need to move your whole operation at once.
